A study permit is granted by the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to an international student to study in a Canadian University/College. The process is such that once you receive the letter of acceptance from a Canadian University/College you must submit an application to the IRCC to get a study permit. You can also include a family member who can accompany you and stay with you in Canada.
